Product Manager – Robotics & AI (m/f/d)

Festanstellung, Vollzeit · HQ

Your Mission
At RobCo, we develop AI-powered robotic systems that make industrial processes more autonomous, efficient, and scalable. Our Autonomous Manufacturing Platform combines modular industrial hardware with physical AI, enabling rapid deployment and continuous optimisation in real-world production environments.

With offices in Munich, San Francisco and Austin, and the support of leading investors such as Lightspeed, Lingotto Innovation und Sequoia, we are working to redefine industrial automation.

To further expand our team, we are looking for you as Product Manager for Robotics & AI (m/f/d) with the following mission:

You will define and drive the evolution of RobCo’s modular robotic ecosystem — from the intelligence layer to the physical platform. Your goal: make automation radically easier through smart software, intuitive interfaces, AI-driven insights, and powerful, reliable hardware modules.

You’ll own the product requirements and roadmap for our software and hardware stack — spanning configuration tools, deployment workflows, control interfaces, intelligent motion systems, and modular robot components. Working closely with our Director of Product Development, Robot Engineering, and AI/Software teams, you’ll ensure that RobCo’s technology delivers both technical excellence and tangible customer value.

This role is perfect for a technically minded product leader who combines a software-first mindset with a solid grasp of robotics hardware, and who can translate complex technical possibilities into elegant, market-ready products.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision – Shape the roadmap for RobCo’s software, AI, and hardware capabilities to enable smart, modular automation.
  • Bridge digital and physical – Drive seamless integration between software intelligence and mechanical systems to ensure a cohesive, high-performance user experience.
  • Gather and translate requirements – Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams to define detailed product specifications for both hardware and software.
  • Guide hardware development – Support concept validation, component selection, and prototype reviews for new modules and mechanical sub-systems.
  • Bridge AI and robotics – Translate the potential of AI into tangible product features, from perception to motion optimization and predictive maintenance.
  • Validate and iterate – Test early concepts and prototypes, analyze user data, and drive continuous improvement across both hardware and software products.
  • Drive simplicity – Make complex robotic systems intuitive and accessible for users across industries.
Your Profile
  • 3–5+ years of experience in product management for robotics, automation, or mechatronic systems, ideally with exposure to both software and hardware development.
  • Strong understanding of software architectures, APIs, cloud systems, and AI-based products.
  • Hands-on familiarity with hardware development processes, including mechanical design, component testing, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Comfortable discussing robot kinematics, sensors, drive systems, and control architectures at a technical level.
  • Proven ability to write crisp, technically sound product requirements and manage complex cross-functional development projects.
  • Experience working in agile environments and balancing long-term product vision with rapid iteration.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a strong sense for user value and product scalability.
  • Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and commercial teams.
  • Professional fluency in English (German is a plus).
Why us?
  • Develop modular, software-defined robotics solutions with us that set new standards in automation.
  • Help build robots powered by cutting-edge AI that perceive their environment, analyze data, and make intelligent decisions in real time.
  • As part of a highly dynamic and fast-growing scale-up, you’ll take on responsibility from day one, drive your own projects, and see the direct impact of your work.
  • Flat hierarchies, open communication, and regular 360° feedback enable fast decision-making and support both your professional and personal development.
  • Your benefits at a glance:
    • Stay active with our subsidized Wellpass membership, giving you access to over 7,200 gyms and studios across Germany.
    • Flexible working hours, a modern office, and—depending on the role—the option to work from home.
    • Regular team events, ranging from relaxed beer & pizza nights on our rooftop terrace to shared experiences like ski trips or the Oktoberfest.
