Your Mission
  • As part of an interdisciplinary team your primary mission is to make our robots as safe, reliant and performant as possible and making it future proof. 
  • You play an essential role in designing new solutions with the stakeholders taking ownership of technical feasibility and execution.
  • Working with modular robots makes you a key contributor to the future of robotics.
  • Defining electromechanical requirements and validating them against customer needs.
  • You choose mechanical and electrical parts and design them in innovative and robust robot modules.
  • You build CAD-models and designs with Solid Works.
  • Simulating and calculating mechanical strength of robot components.
  • Communication with suppliers and providing them with the best production files is daily business.
  • You define and design the future of our modular robot from ground up.
  • You feel accountable for the success and the flawless operation of your products and act decisively and autonomous should any incidents occur.
  • With great pleasure and talent you share your knowledge with other team members and learn from them.
  • While we strongly believe in hybrid working models please be aware that this role may have an increased share of on site work as physical interaction with the robots will often be necessary.
Your Profile
Must Haves
  • While being tech enthusiast you have a distinct sense of customer focus, always ensuring your solutions match underlying customer needs
  • You have a strong understanding of product quality and safety aspects and manage to maintain high standards even and especially when facing delivery pressure 
  • Given only rough user stories and context as an outline you are able to author compelling solution concepts which can be understood by tech and not tech savvy readers.
  • Tenacity paired with great people skills allow you to confidently navigate through the office landscape, identify key stakeholders and foster decisions and actions in order to achieve common goals.
  • Identifying and managing interfaces of your work with others (as well with software as with hardware of any kind) gives you joy and motivation
  • You have experience in designing electromechanical systems including design calculations and production.
  • It is totally clear to you that production and assembly is an essential part of the design process.
  • You have had mechanical or electromechanical projects which you build yourself or you have experience in manufactoring or assembly
  • CAD is in your nature, ideally you've worked with Solid Works before
  • You love hands on work in the hardwareshop as well
  • You ❤️ robots
Great 2 Haves
  • A background in robotics or automation technologies
  • Foundations of control theory
  • Experience with electric or electronic components
  • Decent Python skills
